At the conclusion of certain courses, students across South Carolina take an End-of-Course Exam (EOC). This exam counts 20% of a students final grade, and the results of these exams play a significant role in the ratings Blacksburg High School will receive on the yearly report card.
To reward students for their hard work, BHS held a giveaway for prizes. Any student scoring an A had his or her name entered into the drawing 4 times, a B 3 times, a C 2 times, and a D 1 time. Any student who made a 100 on the exam gets his or her name added an extra time to the drawing. We will have another incentive drawing in May for students that take the EOC in May.
Any student that passed the exam will also have the opportunity to participate in smaller incentives.
BHS would like to take the time to thank the following businesses for helping make this incentive a reality. Without your support this would not be possible.

During American Education Week, we celebrate our staff of educational professionals at BHS with shout-outs created and read by our AVID students to the school at the beginning of each block. We love and appreciate our community that ensures our school is filled with hope and a bright future.

Blacksburg High School’s Mission is to cultivate respect, embrace responsibility, and reach for excellence. Our staff strives to reach this goal every single day. This is day 2 of American Education Week. We appreciate your diligence, grit, and love that you show to our students. As Coach B says each and every day, “Be Great Today.”

CCSD Thirty Days of Thankfulness—Day 15
Today BHS students and teachers painted beautiful holiday art on business windows in downtown Blacksburg. We are grateful that our communities and schools support and encourage our students’ artistic talents!
